There's one in every class, one kid who sticks out because he or she is taller, smarter, faster, funnier, more popular, richer, or any other number of traits. This pencil's got it going in spades: good head on its shoulders, stylish color-coordinated outfit, and no doubt about it, popular with a lot of different types of friends, even the ordinary ones.

All goofiness aside, this was a good excuse to play with a piece of screen wire and layering. I've combined two shots here, one made "straight up" and one made with a piece of plastic-mesh screen held against the lens to create the star effect on the glitter-foam background. Kinda fun, eh?
